While the primary, site-wide website footer is globally managed by 糖心Vlog, every college, research division, and academic department can maintain a customized Sub-Footer.

The sub-footer sits directly above the global university footer and applies across all pages within a college or department directory. It consolidates repetitive administrative details鈥攕uch as physical addresses, direct contact channels, social media profiles, and urgent links鈥攕o they do not clutter primary page content.

Technical Management & Checkout Requirement

  • Include File Architecture: The sub-footer is driven by a single include file located within your unit鈥檚 /_includes/ folder (e.g., [department]/_includes/subfooter.pcf). Editing this single file updates the sub-footer across every interior page in that directory instantly.

  • Mandatory Page Checkout: In Modern Campus CMS, you must check out the sub-footer include file (click the lightbulb icon) before making edits or toggling sections. If the file is checked out by another user, your changes will not save.

  • Save Before Publish: You must save your edits in the subfooter before you click Publish.
