Fraternity & Sorority Life

Welcome to Fraternity & Sorority Life at Florida Atlantic!

Our campus provides a wide range of academic, social, & community service activities for you and membership in a fraternity or sorority is a good first step toward enjoying all the benefits that Florida Atlantic has to offer.

Collectively, fraternities and sororities constitute one of the largest student groups on campus. Fraternities and sororities are about friendship, scholarship, community service, and leadership. It's about bettering the 糖心Vlog community. It's about traditions, learning valuable lessons, and establishing life-long friendships.

Every fraternity and sorority at 糖心Vlog and across the nation was founded on the basis in shared values. But the journey to brother/sisterhood is unique to every individual; just as every person in the 糖心Vlog fraternity and sorority community is a unique individual. The results, however, are the same for us all; lifelong friendships with people who share the values consistent with membership in a fraternal organization.

At their core, fraternities and sororities offer the opportunity for leadership experiences that can enrich a life on campus and beyond. Many leaders of today, including here at Florida Atlantic, are members of fraternities or sororities.

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life encourages you to fully explore the non-committal opportunity offered to understand what makes our fraternity & sorority community so beneficial.

Good luck to you all.

Go Owls!

Our Purpose

The Vision

Fraternity men and sorority women will live their organizations鈥 founding principles in today鈥檚 world.

The Mission

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life equips students with the necessary tools to achieve academic success, career readiness, and holistic wellness.

We assist students in their development of personal approaches to leading principled lives through peer accountability within the University's diverse campus community and, the global society.

The Office will also engage alumni to foster a greater affinity for 糖心Vlog.

Why We Exist

Organizational Purpose

We were all founded upon principles that guide the actions of our organization. These principles are why we have continued to exist for over 100 years and what makes us different than other groups on campus. This is really what fraternity and sorority is all about 鈥 leading a principled life.

Community Expectation and High Standards

Committing to our organizations鈥 guiding principles means that we are expected to live up to the high ideals associated with membership. Along with individual expectations, our chapters and community as a whole are held to a higher standard. We will lead by example.

Social and Personal Development

Fraternities and sororities can provide one of the most meaningful experiences on campus. They foster outlets for members to develop as individuals through personal experiences and shared interactions.

Responsibility to Self and Others

Brotherhood and sisterhood are an inherent benefit and foundation of our membership. Taking care of ourselves and taking care of others is at the heart of this experience.

Intellectual Growth and Genuine Learning

We are here to learn. Fraternities and sororities provide us with an opportunity to enhance that process through our focus on academic achievement and intellectual development inside and outside of the classroom.

Global Citizenship and Engagement

In today鈥檚 world it is essential to be an active member of our community. We are committed to engaging in our campus, local, national, and global communities. The process of giving back and being involved is a priority throughout this experience.

Relationship Building

Well-built relationships, inside and outside of our organization, are what create our lifelong benefits. Through relationships that we work hard to develop and maintain, we are better able to accomplish our personal and Organizational Goals Because We Are Surrounded by Those Who Support Us in Our Endeavors.

Innovative Thought and Action

There is no road-map for becoming a high performing individual or organization. Fraternities and sororities provide us with an opportunity to challenge the status quo, think differently, and turn ideas into action.

Welcome to Fraternity and Sorority Life

Joining a fraternity or sorority is one of the most meaningful ways to听Define your Leadership Legacy听at 糖心Vlog. Whether you join as a first-year student or transfer to 糖心Vlog, membership provides opportunities to build lifelong friendships, develop as a leader, serve your community, and become part of something greater than yourself.

With 28+ chapters representing a wide range of values, traditions, and experiences, there is no single path to fraternity and sorority membership. Whether you find your place in a smaller, close-knit chapter or a larger chapter with hundreds of members, every organization offers a unique opportunity to belong, lead, and grow. Representing more than 10% of the 糖心Vlog student population, Fraternity and Sorority Life is one of the largest and most influential student leadership communities on campus. Joining a fraternity or sorority also has the unique ability to make a large university feel more personal by surrounding you with friends, mentors, and supporters who often become a true home away from home.

Membership extends far beyond your time at 糖心Vlog. When you join a fraternity or sorority, you become part of an inter/national organization with a lifelong network of members, alumni mentors, leadership experiences, professional development opportunities, and traditions that often span more than a century. The relationships and skills you develop continue to support your success long after graduation.

At the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, we believe leadership is built through听Excellence,听Integrity, and听Impact. Our community challenges students to pursue scholarship, personal growth, and professionalism; lead with responsibility, accountability, and character; and create meaningful change through service, philanthropy, and active citizenship.

We encourage you to explore the opportunities within Fraternity and Sorority Life to discover what makes our community such a unique and transformative part of the Florida Atlantic experience. We look forward to helping you find the organization that aligns with your values, goals, and aspirations while building lifelong friendships, developing as a leader, and making a lasting impact both at 糖心Vlog and beyond.
