Student Fiscal Responsibility听

Students at 糖心Vlog are responsible for knowing payment deadlines, financial aid policies, and debts owed. Tuition liability begins immediately upon registration. It is the student's responsibility to monitor their account via听 听online. Students听 must not 听assume that they will be dropped if they fail to attend the first few days of class.

Drop/Add Period: Generally the first week of the term without incurring a fee and without receiving a "W" grade for dropped classes.
Deadlines: See the听 Academic Calendar 听for specific dates to avoid fee liability or a 鈥淲鈥 grade.

Consequences for Non-Payment

Fiscal Cancellation

Failure to pay in full, set up a payment plan, or receive a deferment by the deadline for each semester will result in the cancellation of your registration. Students are notified via their 糖心Vlog e-mail account concerning outstanding tuition deficiencies and given an opportunity to pay tuition and fees prior to cancellation.

Fiscal Cancellation is the removal of your courses from your schedule and Canvas due to non-payment. Once cancelled, you will no longer have access to attend classes, review materials, or receive grades for the term. Tuition and tuition-related fees are removed from your account as a result.

If your classes are cancelled, you remain responsible for paying non-refundable fees, including the Transportation Access Fee and the Owl Card fee, as well as any other outstanding debts owed to the university.

Yes. Students cancelled for non-payment may submit a Fiscal Reinstatement Appeal to the Office of the Registrar. If approved, you will be re-enrolled in your original courses, and all tuition, related fees, and standard reinstatement penalties will be added back to your account for immediate payment.

Yes. Students approved for reinstatement will incur the following non-refundable penalties:
  • $100 Late Payment Fee
  • $100 Late Registration Fee
Once reinstated, you are financially responsible for all tuition and fees unless a withdrawal is granted due to an exceptional circumstance.

Registration & Transcript Holds

Payments are applied to a student鈥檚 account based on the oldest debt first. Students who have an outstanding balance will receive holds which may prevent future registration and/or access to academic records. These holds will not be removed until such debt is paid in full.听

Delinquent Accounts & Collections

Per Florida Statutes 1010.03, 糖心Vlog must exert every effort to collect delinquent accounts, including the utilization of a collection agency. Therefore, accounts with outstanding balances more than 90 days past due are deemed eligible to be sent to collections. If referred for collections any and all related fees will be billed to you regardless of your status with the University.

Once accounts are sent to collections, accounts will be assessed a collection fee of up to 30% percent of the balance due. The collection fee is non-refundable and cannot be removed once accounts are placed in collections. Accounts with outstanding balances sent to collections are obligated to promptly pay all charges owed, including collection agency referral-fees, and other reasonable collection costs assessed to collect unpaid balances.

Most important to note is that collection agencies may also submit delinquent accounts to any of the three (3) major credit bureaus based on the agencies policies and procedures: Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. Please be advised that once delinquent accounts are submitted to the credit bureaus your overall credit rating may be adversely affected.听听
