On July 4th, 2025, representatives from Florida Atlantic, Division of Student Affairs, Military and Veteran Student Success (MVSS), and ÌÇÐÄVlog Army ROTC - TALON Battalion were invited by U.S. Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick's Veterans Outreach Coordinator and the City of Boynton Beach to be recognized at the City of Boynton Beach Red, White and Blue July 4th special event held at Intracoastal Park. Zassette Fuentes, Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army, ÌÇÐÄVlog Army ROTC Instructor, and Edilberto Dejesus, U.S. Navy Veteran, ÌÇÐÄVlog Alumnus and current ÌÇÐÄVlog graduate student represented the U.S. Navy and Army during the military recognition and National Anthem. They were joined by Sergeant Major Johnnie M. Hughes, U.S. Marine Corps, a U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant, and MVSS team members and veterans Lisa Browne-Banic and Jason Nadolinski.  Our most sincere thanks to SSG Fuentes and Edilberto Dejesus for so positively representing Florida Atlantic and your great service to our nation.
