Angela Adee Andriesse recently published "The UncAngie" in Rejoinder, the Rutgers Institute for Research on Women鈥檚 web journal, as part of Issue 11, Ritual, Healing, and World-Making. The autobiographical comic explores themes of masking, late autism diagnosis, neurodivergent identity, and the ongoing process of self-discovery and healing. Through the character of 鈥淯ncAngie,鈥 Andriesse examines the tension between socially constructed survival selves and authentic embodiment, highlighting the role of everyday rituals, sensory experience, and self-acceptance in creating a more livable life.
